Ally Heiserman - Lead Trainer and Consultant

Ally attended undergraduate school at The University of Oklahoma. After undergrad, Ally received her initial teaching certification through an alternative certification program while teaching in the Dallas Independent School District.

Following her time in Dallas, Ally returned to her roots in Kansas City where she served as a Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade classroom teacher. Her favorite role in the classroom was teaching 3rd Grade Guided Reading- a spot where she was able to watch students quickly grow based upon targeted, standards-based reading instruction catered to individual student needs.

Over the past five years Ally continued her career in education as both a school administrator and Instructional Coach at two Kansas City charter schools. Ally loves working with adults and helping them reach their goals as educators. In 2016, she earned her Master’s degree in School Leadership from Baker University and in 2022 she earned her Doctorate in PK-12 Administration from Baker University.

Ally and her family reside in Overland Park, Kansas. She loves spending time with her husband and family, and you can often find her chasing after her two toddlers or enjoying time outside. Ally is passionate about instructional leadership and is thrilled to work with Step Up Consulting. Ally hopes to empower teachers and administrators as leaders to ensure that they are providing their students with a guaranteed and viable curriculum that is aligned to MO Learning Standards. She looks forward to helping teachers provide the highest quality and most effective curriculum and instruction possible!
