Mary Blocker - Contributor

Mary Blocker brings over 30 years of diverse experience in education, having served in numerous roles throughout her career. She has been deeply involved in curriculum writing, technology training, and community education and outreach. Since becoming a Missouri educator in 2011, Mary has taught 5th grade, 3rd-6th grade math, and special education, mentored new teachers, and worked as an instructional coach. Her dedication and expertise were recognized in 2019 when she was named an Outstanding Mathematics Educator in Missouri.

Mary holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Troy State University (1992) and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Missouri State University (2020), where she also earned an Elementary Mathematics Specialist Certificate.

Residing in southwest Missouri with her husband, Thomas, and their youngest daughter, Mary enjoys gardening, reading mysteries, and summer travels to visit her grandchildren. Passionate about mathematics education, she is on a mission to help teachers discover their inner mathematicians.
